Individual Pre-Wedding Photoshoot

Even being a photographer I’m still the same when it comes to standing in front of the camera. Nervous, self concious and generally uncomfortable. I think it takes everyone a little while to warm up to having their picture taken and an Engagement Shoot is the perfect chance for that to happen. It means you’re already relaxed and comfortable around me and my camera when it comes to your Wedding Day. My goal at every Engagement Shoot is for you to go home that evening a little more in love with each other than when you came. That’s all. If that happens, then I’ve done my job.

These sessions are usually less about the actual photographs (of course they’ll be beautiful too!) and more about us getting to know each other better, chat about your big day and allow you time to become comfortable in front of the camera. By the end of it you won’t even know I’m there! It certainly won’t be all forced poses and stiff smiles, and when your Wedding Day comes around you’ll be perfectly at ease around the camera which will help make your wedding photographs relaxed and natural.

As with my portrait shoots, the sessions can be as organised or relaxed as you want. We can organise a really stylised shoot, or have a less structured wander around a location that’s special to you as a couple. Either way, you’ll come out with some stylish and modern photographs of you relaxing and enjoying each others company. I realise just how hectic organising your wedding can be (I’m currently organising my own!) and a couple of hours away from that where you can forget about the stress and be alone in each others company is really good therapy. I know with all the planning and organising leading up to your big day it’s sometimes easy to lose sight of the reasons you decided to get married. These sessions are all about you as a couple connecting and taking a time out, all you have to do is be yourself.
