Due to the quite frankly ridiculous rule that Wembley Stadium seems to impose on it’s fans of no camera’s with changeable lenses being allowing into the stadium, I took the opportunity to give the Nikon P7000 a run through it’s paces. Along with the Canon G12 it is probably the top of the line point and shoot camera available today (bar the new micro 2/3 cameras.)

Having been to every single one of the overseas NFL games at Wembley we decided this year to go for seats closer to the action. Normally we’re sitting up in the rafters watching the little dots run around on the pitch. These tickets were expensive but man were they worth it! 16th Row back right in the heart of the action.

Overall the camera performed admirably considering the horrible lighting circumstances. I can certainly see why sports photographers have their incredibly fast and long glass in order to capture moving images sharp and clear. Most annoyingly once I was inside the stadium I saw loads of people with DSLR’s just wandering about!
