Final Friday Flickr Five

This will hopefully become a regular monthly feature on the final Friday of every month. When I originally joining Flickr I struggled to find a good resource containing great photographers to add as contacts. All photographers featured in this series have in one way or another inspired me to keep picking up my camera.
I know this isn't the final Friday of the month, but there's something that will probably be taking up rather alot of my (and probably your) day next Friday so I thought I'd get it done now!

Tiny Lego Men set up in Indiana Jones Style

Moleskin Diary with Red cover1. Ed Mcgowan aka Isayx3 - Ed is the current Director of Design for PlainJoe Studios in Southern California.  His photography has a very graphic/polished feel to it and usually features awesome Bokeh too, as in the one above.  Whilst the photography is brilliant it is the post-production that really brings Ed's photos to life.  During his last 365 project every Friday he takes an image from a Flickr contact and applies his wizardry to it complet
ely transforming the image into a vibrant/punchy version of it's former self.

Rebekka Guðleifsdóttir aka _rebekka - Rebekka is a self-taught photographer (there's hope for us all!) based in Iceland, although she grew up in Gainsville, Florida.  I find Rebekka's photography very emotional and evocative.  Her ability to clone multiple personalities into her photos (like the one above) is second to none in my opinion, and has certainnly made me investigate the possibility of doing that sort of post-processing.  I implore you to take a good look through her entire photostream as it really does evidence her advancements as a photographer.

Moleskin Diary with Red cover3. Natalie Anelia aka Miss Anelia -
Some images here are quite disturbing, and certainly bring out an emotional response from the viewer.  That's what I love about her photography.  I originally stumbled across Miss Anelia through Kate Day's Telegraph Photography competition here, a stream not for the faint hearted.  Also a great way to watch a brilliant photographer grow from start to finish. (which you should all enter by the way) and then spent the next few days slowly working my way through the stream.  Again, brilliant post-production is a prominent theme throughout the stream, Miss Anelia is also highly proficient at clone merges, and they all work brilliantly.  Check out her book Self Gazing

Moleskin Diary with Red cover4. Prizka Febrinia -
In contrast to Miss Amelia's photostream Prizka's is beautifully serene and has an analog/70's vibe to it.  All the photos are beautifully produced with the same feeling to each.  If you want a nice relaxing browse through someone's stream then Prizka's is it.  Extremely quick to respond and has been helpful in the past regarding some of my images.

Moleskin Diary with Red cover5. Trey Ratcliff aka Stuck In Customs - Perhaps the most divisive photographer working today.  Like it or not HDR is here to stay and Trey is truely a master of this art.  He quotes Renoir as being one of his influences and it certainly shines through in all his photography.  This isn't HDR to cover up poor technique (as I often use it for!), this is HDR complimenting brilliant technique producing some of the most breathtaking images I've ever seen.  Prepare to get lost in this stream!

If you've got any contacts you think I should be checking out please let me know in the comments below.  I'm always on the look out to expand my Flickr contacts with the multitude of great photographers that I'm sure are out there!
